Solomon Sylva

Is that Sylva your cousin?? He loooks like you!!

Habib

Hail to thhe Lions

Sylva was Senegal's showman
Young Senegal star Soulymane Camara sent his side through to the
quarter-finals of the Nations Cup in a 1-0 victory over Zambia.
As they did against Egypt, the Lions of Dakar left it until the dying
moments to secure victory.

And the result left Zambia rueing a succession of missed chances.

Twice striker Henri Milanzi was put through one on one with the enegal
keeper Tony Sylva, and twice he could only shoot weakly and scuff the
chance.

Makasa and Kampama also spurned good opportunities.

Sylva began even to turn on the style a little by playing almost as a
sweeper on occasion, running out of his area to play long passes up field.

Frustration

But the Chipolopolo been able to convert any of their chances, the game -
and the group - could have turned out very differently.

By the end, however, they were clearly growing frustrated and it was Senegal
who missed the best chance, when N'diaye headed over from nearly on the
goalline on 84 minutes.

Thankfully for him, Camara was able repair the damage five minutes later.

The result was also excellent news for Egypt, as they will be odds-on
favourites to take the runners-up spot in the group.

The Pharaohs only need a point from their last game against Zambia to be
sure of going through.
