To those who did not want to, could not, or did not know, the dinner by Jack Johnson for Jammeh was by all indication, quite an affair.
Great things could be happening for GAMBIANS and Prince George's County ought to be commended for trying to forge a trade relationship with Gambian Firms. They need to eliminate the middleman who will demand his ton of flesh and leave the bones for the rest of us. Read below -

Prince George's County Executive Jack Johnson and The Republic of The Gambia President Dr. Alhajie Yahya A.J.J. Jammeh To Dedicate a New Tade Office

UPPER MARLBORO, MD - Prince George's County Executive Jack Johnson and The Republic of The Gambia President Dr. Alhajie Yahya A.J.J. Jammeh, will dedicate a new Trade Office Monday, May 17, 2004, at 1 p.m.
Dedication of the Trade Office will take place at the Prince George's County Economic Development Corporation Headquarters (EDC), 4640 Forbes Boulevard, Suite 200, in Lanham. The purpose of the trade office is to enhance successful trading between Prince George's County firms and firms from The Republic of The Gambia, in West Africa.
"Prince George's County has a diverse international community and the establishment of this office celebrates the diversity of businesses and people," said Johnson.
Also, at 2:30 p.m., representatives from The Gambia Investment Promotion and Free Zones Agency, along with members of EDC's International Business Strategy Committee, and members of the local banking community will participate in a Gambia Business Roundtable. Prince George's County firms interested in international trade are encouraged to attend. The roundtable will provide an opportunity for one-on-one trade discussions and continue the business-to-government exchange initiated during the recently successful Technical Trade Mission to The Gambia.
