The latest it that the Gambia has beaten Mali 1-0 to advance to the final on
Sunday. Edrissa Sonko who plays for Roda JC in Holland scored for the
Gambia.Earlier, tHe Gambia drew 1-1 against both Senegal and Cape
Verde.SierraLeone did not turn up this time.The Gambia now meets Senegal in
the final.It is the third time that the Scorpions have reached this
final.Senegal won it seven times and this is their tenth final.The Gambian
citizens are very elated with the result against Mali and are expectantly
looking forward to Sunday's final.THe match would see the return of captain
Ebou Sillah who was red carded in the game against Senegal. He plays fior
club Brugge in Belgium.
