Hello, AbdouKarim, I understand where you are coming from, but as my
grandmother used to say, "two wrongs don't make a right".  If this
"Essau Gambia" person is making accusations against someone, i.e.
Fatoumata (who to me, as she has a UK Yahoo address, I'd assume she's
in the UK, though this is not necessarily true, and what does it
matter anyway?), is it right then for you to come and start insulting
peoples mothers, etc., who had nohting to do with htis?


And why come at Soffie for simply asking why this was necessary?  I
sure don't think it isn't!  You don't like what Essau is saying, call
him on that and leave it at that!  Don't drag people's famlies into
it, who had nothing to do with htis!


Or, just ignore his or their messages!


I also find it interesting that a day or so after Fatoumata starts
questioning Freedom Newspaper and their so-called author(s), a piece
comes out accusing her of being some kind of double agent!?


What is sad is that this paper claims to be reporting the truth, etc.,
and talks about their journalistic standars, when they are worse than
the Daily Observer, both in grammar/writing style, and also in the
types of stories they publish!  I'd rahter get good quality stories,
whose facts have been checked and cross-checked, and get them on a
semi-daily or weekly basis, than get daily doses of stories which are
half-truths or worse lies, and whose grammer is just attrocious!


*sigh* but anyway, I just take the path of least resistance and rather
than get all angry and worked up about this, I just don't read it!  If
people want to think that they are doing good work, and are credible
journalists, then we are all free to think what we want!


But thankfully, they are other online Gambian newspapers that one can
read that are better writen and whose stories seem to have more
credible insight than Freedom.  As much as Freedom wants to brag and
boast about being the "most read online Gambina newspaper".  I mean
you see that phrase "leading online Gambian publication".  And perhaps
that is the case, and if it is, fine, but I don't normally read
tabloids, and I don't intend to start now!
