<< C.A.I.R.'s Cooperation with FBI
Helping the FBI to Research & Surveil Muslim Communities
                                                 by Kaukab Siddique, Ph.D

According to a press release (dated September 16) distributed by a
group calling itself CAIR, its representative, along with others, "met with
FBI" officials. CAIR describes its meeting with FBI officials as "friendly
and constructive."
The CAIR release says that the FBI wants a "cultural diversity
presentation" which could be "incorporated into ongoing training for FBI
agents."

CAIR also says "FBI participation in a community outreach symposium"
being prepared by another clique was discussed. A "suggestion" was made that
the FBI work with a Muslim Chaplain. Also the FBI would help provide
"security" at mosques.
The CAIR release concludes with an invitation to listen to Siraj
Wahhaj at a fund raiser.

All this was supposedly done because some Muslims have been harrassed
by the FBI.

Dear Muslims: think of the implications of CAIR's close cooperation
with the FBI.

 1. Who does not know that the FBI is not a friend of the Muslims or of any
other oppressed people. The Muslim community is the target of the FBI.
Anyone who helps the FBI in this process is either a traitor or a fool.

 2. The claim that the FBI is mistakenly harrasing innocent Muslims is
absurd. The FBI knows exactly what it is doing. An innocent Muslim, Director
of a mosque in Brooklyn, Br. Nasser Ahmed has been kept in prison for three
and a half years because he refused to cooperate with the FBI. (Look at the
case of Br. Jihad Abdul Mumit, in Lewisburg prison, again for not cooperating
with the FBI. The FBI wants to turn Muslims into informers and CAIR is
playing a dastardly role in this process.)

 3. Research carried out by New Trend's think tank shows that the FBI wants
to create divisions within Muslim ranks by claiming that most Muslims are
"good guys" but the activists among them should be checked for "association
with terrorist organizations" (FBI jargon for Islamic movements like Hamas,
Gamaa al-Islamiyya, Harakat al-Ansar, FIS, Jihad, Hizbullah and all others
fighting for Allah's cause.). CAIR is helping the FBI to create this
impression among the general population of Muslims that if they behave
themselves, the FBI will not bother them. However, if they become activists,
they are asking for trouble.

 4. Human rrights organizations are unanimous that ANY information provided
to the FBI (whether a "cultural diversity" survey or any other), helps the
FBI to carry out its work of divide-and-rule. The FBI is basically a
bureaucracy and it can only succeed if it has dossiers on people, some of
whom it will reward and some it will punish.

 5. By including the FBI in "security" for mosques, again CAIR is supporting
the process by which enemy agents are being brought into our places of
worship.

 6. It's not clear what CAIR means by the "suggestion" that the NEW YORK FBI
work with a Muslim chaplain. Does that mean helping the FBI keep an eye on
Muslim inmates? Such action could be seriously hurtful to the growth of
authentic Islam in the prison system.

CAIR's credentials need scrutiny. Where did CAIR get the funds to carry out
a countrywide campaign of infiltration into mosques? Where did its seed money
come from?
CAIR has hurt the Muslims in big ways while helping in small human rights
cases where its help was not really needed. When the Shaikh Omar trial was
about to begin, CAIR's Hooper came on the Zionist radio network NPR and
claimed that Shaikh Omar has nothing to do with the Muslims of America.

In the latest issue of CAIR's newsletter we see a Kafir, a democrat
congressman standing in a CAIR influenced mosque (Dar al-Hijra, Virginia)
giving a speech. As we all know the democratic party supports the imposition
of sanctions on Iraq which has resulted in the slow death of 750,000 Iraqi
children. Democrats also support homosexuality which negates basic Islamic
values. The man in the CAIR newsletter (and all others in America's power
structure) also support the creation of Israel in Palestine.

CAIR owes Muslims an apology for its shameless cooperation with the FBI.

THERE IS NO SCOPE IN ISLAM FOR COOPERATION WITH OPPRESSORS AND OPPONENTS OF
ISLAMIC POWER.

The Qur'an says: "O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for
your protecting friends and guardians. They are but friends and guardians to
each other. And he among you that turns to them (for such friendship) is of
them. Surely Allah guides not a people unjust." (5:51)
(Commentators agree that this verse does not have to do with personal
friendship but with inclusion of alien power structures into the Muslim
community.)

"O ye who believe! Take not into your intimacy those outside your ranks:
They will not fail to corrupt you. They only desire for you to suffer: Rank
hatred has already appeared from their mouths: What their hearts conceal is
far worse. We have made plain to you the Signs, if you have wisdom." (3:118)

"O ye who believe! Take not My enemies and yours as protecting friends -
offering them love, even though they have rejected the Truth that has come to
you ...(60:1)

Surely Allah has spoken the Truth.
