Brother Hamjatta:

I am afraid that perhaps my last post on this topic was not clear enough with
regard to African countries using Cuba as a model state. I realized my typo
right after sending the email. But in all honesty, the piece was supposed to
give the impression that the Cuban private sector system and culture in
general are perhaps worthy of a close look by some African states in the
hopes that these states can achieve similar successes in this regard.

However, I also noticed that because of your perhaps intense phobia of
anything communist or socialist, you tend to give little credit to the fact
that Cuba has achieved through socialist policies a standard of living well
beyond the Third World standard. There were also a few related issues you
glossed over which unfortunately tended to downplay the positive aspects of
Cuba.

Unfortunately, my workload is a bit heavier than usual and this means I shall
not be able to address your response in its proper perspective for a few
days. Until then, bear with me

-Yus
