Sister,
I support your suggestion. It is the Gambia way and we in United Kingdom will do our bit. What is happening in our country is sad but we are a great country. I am proud of my Gambian identity and our future will astonish Africa.

Malanding,

With a hectic work schedule and family obligations, I can understand. That
was why I thought to offer to have my daughter help with any related leg work
although she also has quite a hectic schedule always, but I really do
understand.

It is always a touchy issue when it comes to collecting funds from others
and for that reason, I never feel comfortable doing it, so perhaps it may be
best if those who want to do something towards this effort just purchase books
or whatever they feel is appropriate and give directly to St Johns. A gesture
of thanks in any form is definitely a good idea, so I just thought I would
make the suggestion.

Sister jabou,
Showing SJU our sincere appreciation for hosting G-L is definitely in
order. However, my schedule for the next 6 months will not allow me to
participate in coordinating the proposed effort. It would be a great
thing if someone else take charge.
