According to 1993 Population and Housing Census the Percent distribution
of married population Aged 10 and over by type of union:
Monogamy: 64.9% M ; 48.4%F Polygamy: 34.3%M 50.2%F
What is striking is that  monogamy figures increase to 80.6%M and 79.8%
for those with post secondary education.
As Ahmadu said these figures may have changed since.
