I jumbled up the above statement but it should read as follows:

No wonder President George had to refrain from further use of the sensitve
word 'crusade' in his reaction to the killings of Sept. 11 because of the
word's gruesome reminder to Moslems of the genocide committed against them
in history in the name of Christianity.
