Dear Ousman,

You are right to say that Imam Fatty is again reveling his ignorance in this
issue and since he does not know,I think it will be much more better if he
shorts his mouth.
To start with there are almost no drugs in this world that do not have side
effects and there are many drugs that are use daily that can cause
hypertension, paralysis, lip sore, dry skin etc,it is a lie that it was through
the researches of Dr Jeng that the side effects that comes with the use of
contraceptives were found. Open any medical book on the issue and you will
find some of these findings, they are not that of Dr jeng. What happens here is
that it is either Imam Fatty who is telling a lie or Dr Jeng ,for the simple
reason that in most of the said side effects,it is never ever said that they
"cause hypertension, blood infusion in the brain ...."" etc. To confirm such
side effects it takes years and years of research. What is normally said is
that they "can Cause" such and such side effects, this is why most patients who
use certain contraceptive pills in some countries ,like Norway, are
recommended to have gynecologist consultations or visit their doctor, twice a
year and to check the blood pressure among other things.
Since we dont know what type of contraceptives Imam Fatty and his Dr Jeng are
talking about let us deal with the situation from common knowledge.'
To say that contraceptives do increase bleeding is something I am hearing for
the first time, what is true is that the very opposite is achieved, that is less
bleeding.Vomiting and breast tenderness occur sometimes during the initial
period, but even those who do not use contraceptives could suffer from such
during menstruation.
Certain contraceptives can cause heart diseases ,mostly in combination with
smoking and higher age (above 38 years),that is to say the combination is not
recommended. P-Pills contraceptives can increase the chance of getting cancer
so is a rapid change of sexual partners. It is now even said that the use of
P-Pills can prevent breast cancer.
There are certain things that Imam Fatty is claiming to be said by this Dr
Jeng and which are very doubtful,I want to believe that this Dr Jeng is been
mis quoted, to say that contraceptives do cause disease like yellow fever is
just too foolish. If Imam Fatty is concerned with the bleeding of women, then
he should take a stand against the practice of circumcision which is more
likely to cause bleeding tendency and lead to low blood pressures and
infections rather than the use of contraceptives.
Condoms are almost 98 % safe to use,to argue that they can burst and vanish
into the womb is not only a story telling but a naked lie,how can such happen
?I mean in practice. That is why it will be wise to first check this said reach
of Dr Jeng. And condoms are safe against very very dangerous diseases that is
daily hunting and destroying this human race, any Doctor who advice against the
use of condoms is irresponsible.
Tell Imam Fatty to ask Dr Jeng the side effects of a simple pain killer like
Paracetamol, that could be bought in any street corner in the Gambia.
What is important is to make sure that Women who prefer the use of
contraceptive have good advice and follow up as in many countries, with that
the use of contraceptives could be as safe as any drug with as much side
effects as contraceptives.

Fankanta Pills Cause 27 Disease- Imam Fatty

Imam Abdoulie Fatty of State House Mosque has said he has uncovered "a
major Fankanta secret." The secret, the scholarly imam said, is that,
"Fankanta pills and injections cause more than 27 diseases."

Imam Fatty said this exposé was made by Mariette Dieng, a doctor working
at Dakar Principal Hospital.

Quoting Dr Dieng, Imam Fatty said contraceptive pills cause
hypertension, blood infusion in the brain, yellow fever, heart disease,
headache, myopia, dry skin, paralysis and lip sore. Imam Fatty said Dr Dieng
said the pills pollute breast milk, induce vomiting, breast tenderness, body
sores, elephantiasis and abnormal menstrual periods. "Dr Mariette condemned
both male and female condoms because he said they are unsafe as such they may
burst, vanish into the womb or cause bruises to the womb. Some contraceptives,
she said, result in cancer thus leading to surgical operations. It pains womb
and as a result the user needs pain killer," Fatty said.

Imam Fatty noted that Dr Dieng's research also proved that women using
contraceptives sometimes bleed heavily during menstruation which leads to low
blood pressure. "Young girls are always victims of this trouble," he stated.

"According to the results of Mariette's research, certain conditions
must be met before women start using Fankanta-related contraceptive pills or
injections. Women should ensure they do not suffer breast problem, heart
disease, mental disorder and highblood pressure. They should know their weight
and visit the gynaecologist to check them," Fatty noted.

In conclusion, Imam Fatty called on women to desist from using all types
of Fankanta pills and injections because they are made to cause more harm than
good. "How can we have a healthy population if women are unhealthy? We should
not be afraid of rapid population growth rather we need to pray for
development," he emphasised.
