Energy-saving advice:

This tip is not for only those who have ranches. If you have an apartment or
a home this tip could save you a lot in your air-conditioning or heating
bill. If you think this is a valuable tip, please thank me by pledging or
donating to our Fatou Jaw Manneh Fund.

The windows of your home may or may not be properly weather-stripped. But
most of us either have curtains or blinds on our windows. Also, our vents may
be
on the ceiling, wall, or floor. Generally, our HVAC system comes with
Supply and Return vents. The Supply vents bring in fresh cool/warm air and the

Return vents draw in stale air to be refreshed. The supply vents are most
efficiently placed near doors and windows for every home.

1. If your Supply vents are on the ceiling and you have ONLY blinds on your
windows, try to close the blinds downward. This will help direct the
cool/warm air toward the room where it is most needed and therefore help
condition
your rooms quicker. This means your furnace or heat-pump conditions your home
in less time. This may not be terribly significant but it will do wonders for
your average annual enegy bill if you make it a habit.

2. If your Supply vents are on the ceiling and you have curtains or curtains
and blinds on your windows, still close the blinds downward and do not worry
about your curtains. They're just fine.

3. If your Supply vents are on the floor and you have Only blinds on your
window, close your blinds upward for more efficient conditioning of your home.

4. If your Supply vents are on the floor and you have both blinds and
curtains on your windows, make sure your curtains do not cover the vents by
applying vent-deflectors ($1.59/deflector), and close your blinds upward.

If this energy-saving tip is not enough to earn me donations, I'll do you
one better. I will show you exactly how to fix your self-propelled push-mower.

But please don't wait for that if you already think I've earned your
donations.

Thank you friends. See you soon. Haruna. MQJGDT. Darbo. Al Mu'Umin.
