Subject: Defending Jawara/PPP? Is The Struggle About The Return of Jawara/PPP Gambia?

Compatriots

Here am assuming what we called 'The Struggle' exist!

I have said several times that one major problem is our lack of definition of our problem and hence a clearly stated/outlined vision/mission/goals.

The recent exchanges is a proof of that opinion. Revisiting our past is very legitimate in planning for the future. However denial/minimizing of this past is somewhat troubling.

Arguing that Jawara/PPP wasn't a corrupt administration is a stretch. Even downplaying Jawara/PPP corruption is troubling. Arguing that Jawara/PPP are wasn't a dictatorship shows our understanding of that word and democracy.

More absurd is comparing Jawara to Yahya - as if one is the yardstick. Both were/are bad regardless of the degree/magnitude.

The bigger concern though - are we in for the return of Jawara/PPP Gambia and/or we are fight for 'What We Were Supposed To Be - A Democratic Republic?

The defense of the past as RIGHT/SOME WHAT RIGHT seem to suggest we're fighting for the return of Jawara/PPP Gambia. NO wonder all the difficulties for over 20 years people of our caliber can't craft a national agenda.

Regards

Burama
