Obviously a comment from somewhere in the world not paying the real prices
for fuel.

In the UK diesel is around 15D a litre, although I know where you are coming
from, and enjoy the cheap fuel in Gambia, the destruction of the planet is
due in part to our over consumption of resources, made cheap by
irresponsible governments.

Price Of Fuel Increased

The Department of State for Finance and Economic Affairs wishes to inform
the general public that the prices of Petrol, Diesel and Kerosine are
increased as follows: Petrol is raised from D8.95 to D9.75 per litre, Diesel
is increased from D6.75 to 7.75 per litre and Kerosine from D4.25 to D4.90
per litre. The new prices are effective with effect today. This increase, a
press release from the ministry said, is as a result of the high oil prices
experienced throughout the year 2000 which is still discernable in the
current year. In addition, the change will also avert the substantial
government revenue loss associated with these upward trend of oil prices.
