Press Release
 Following the concern expressed by the managing editor of The Point
Newspaper regarding the state of the Muslim Cemetery located in Jeshwan,
a committee was set up with the following mandate:

a) Create awareness that the Muslim burial places- especially the
Jeshwan cemetery needs to be protected so that our loved ones will rest
in peace;

b) Mobilize resources to put up a proper fence around the Jeshwang and
Banjul Muslim cemeteries;

c) Encourage Muslims to attend an annual cemetery cleaning exercise to
take place during the last Sunday of October;

d) Engage the responsible municipalities to continue the protection and
maintenance of cemeteries in their respective jurisdictions;

Office
It was resolved that the situation of the office be located at 2 Garba
Jahumpa Road, Bakau, KSMD (% The Point Newspaper).

BANK ACCOUNTS
Many Gambians had made person visits and phone call to the Editor of The
Point Newspaper asking as to how they could make their contributions.
The committee agreed that a project account should be opened with all
the banks operating in The Gambia to facilitate receipt of funds. The
committee is urging all those who want to contribute to go to any of the
