Ous Bojang,

Thanks for the mail. I'll soon open an e-mail account with "gambiansonline."

George Sarr: By the grace of God, I'll chat to you soon!

O.B Sillah: A sister here should be coming to the USA around end of
February; so if you are not in a hurry, I can give her the dictionary you
have requested for you. She can post it to your address while she is in the
USA.

I think it would be far more cheaper that way, than if I were to post it
from here. I'll privately give you the name of the sister one of these days.

I'll also give her another dictionary for you, which is the newly expanded
edition of the "Collins Cobuild" English Dictionary, published by Harper
Collins.

Using the Bank of English at the University of Birmingham, the editorial
team has identified and explained the patterns of use in over 200 million
words of written and spoken English.

In fact, since the first dictionary was first in 1987, the COBUILD series
"has become internationally recognised as the most authoritative and
comprehensive description of modern English."

Sidi Sanneh: I think Nigeria should clinch the African Cup of Nations
trophy. By the way, I am looking forward to reading your piece on
privatisation. I read somewhere, I think it was the Gambia Daily newspaper,
the paper you presented at the Divestiture Workshop, held at the Kairaba
Hotel, some time ago, and I must say that it was a very powerful speech.

Tombong Saidy: Has Ebou M. Taal, a one-time Permanent Secretary at the
Ministry of External Affairs, been appointed ambassador-designate to the UK?

And given your vast expertise in Diplomacy/International Relations, can I
further ask you, Mr Saidy, whether morally speaking, it is prudent to
appoint a convicted prisoner as an Ambassador/High Commissioner? I thank you
in advance, and look forward to reading your answers on Gambia L.

Ebrima
