Why do our heroes die so soon? First the Pan African Cinema Family lost Charles Mensah, President of the Federation of Pan African Filmmakers (FEPACI) and now one of the legends of the Nigerian digital cinema Sam Locco Efe is no more.

I was shocked when the news reach me last night. I called my footsoldiers in Nigeria to verify as I got the news before them. They thought I was just joking with my usual barbaric humour!

T day however, the dead of the man is confirmed by some and still denied by others.

I am supposed to be on a film set with Sam Locco Efe this October in Calabar, Cross River State of Nigeria for one of my movies. Now I have to re-write his role and look for a replacement.

Sam you wicked guy, how can you leave this crazy world at time when I need you?
