I certainly cannot understand where Essa is coming from. Tribalism? There is
nothing wrong with speaking in one's language.
On the Jammeh and opposition issue, I cannot understand why most Gambians
will rathertalk about getting Jammeh out when the opposition is being
discussed. Come on. Let us be realistic about the issues. Jammeh is guilty
of a lot of things, but the opposition needs to be equally scrutinized.
I have seen that Yama Darboe wrote that we should not pit one opposition
against the other, but Ms. Darboe remember that they need to be scrutinized
too. When Darboe was a private Lawyer, Bah a hotel entrepeneur and Sallah a
mere civil servant, no one scrutinized them. And if my recollections are
right, Mr. Darboe was the Attorney for both Gamtel and GPTC paid monthly. No
one went after him for that.
People in politics need to know that everything they say or do will be
cheked out.
I am sorry if the opposition is not ready for that. That is not pitting
their heads either. As the PPP used to say in Mandinka; "So So laa so".
Politics discriminates, politicking does not.

Lamin Ceesay.
