Sister Jabou,

My personal view is that Malamin Johnson sent that posting to the list as
information to the muslims on ths list concerning the celebration of
non-muslim holidays, and maybe I am wrong about that, but that is how i saw
it.

You hit the nail right on the head. For some reason(s) unknown to me, some
of us are still confusing leaving in harmony with non-muslims and actually
participating in other religious holidays/celebrations.

If I had received the article I sent from someone else, I wouldn't jump and
take a swipe at it right way. I will find out more about this issue by
asking around, reading the Qu'ran and Hadith before I make a statement based
on ignorance. I made a statement that I will repeat again, In Islam we do
not innovate, we just follow the Qu'ran and hadith. We can't pick and choose
what we like and discard what we don't like about Islam.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if this current topic gets taken out of
context or out of focus. Looking forward to the rest of your postings on
Islam.

Regards,
MJohnson
