Folks,

I also witnessed the events leading to Matarr's expulsion from the L. I am
also in support of forgiveness and reconciliation. However, my impression
from Malanding, Katim and Jabou's posting's is that Matarr in fact never
stopped insulting people because of thier opinions expressed on the list.
That he still sends private mail (full of profanity) to many list members.

My understanding of forgiveness is that it is for PAST deeds not wrongs that
one CONTINUES to commit against others. Perhaps those calling for Mr Njie's
re-instatement should also tell him to refrain from such unacceptable
behaviour as a sign of his willingness to heal and reconcile?

cheers,
Modou.
