Malanding.

I am sure that most Gambians will not be fooled but remember some buy all
the propaganda this regime dishes out. Also,Jammeh may just give him the office
because who says intelligence has to be a factor in what Jammeh does? I am
sure that somebody thinks that this bit of information or this guy's
proposals serves some useful purpose for them. This is not a paper that prints news
just to inform the public. They serve a very specific purpose. Maybe it is
driven by a desperation for positive PR but I am sure he will find good company
with whom to weave his deception.
What we have are a gang of criminals masquerading as a government and this
man would not be an unusual addition at all.

Sister Jabou,
Notwithstanding the media's role in all this I think the guy does not
realize that Gambians are a bit more sophisticated than they sometimes
appear.
He may make a splash in the paper but not sure if he will find himself
the office he is looking for.
