Hi!
I'm sure that all probing Ebou Jallow on the issue of the 3, 000, 000 Dollars are genuinely doing it out of a desire to know the truth. However, from a legal and logical viewpoint, it would be truly foolhardy for Ebou Jallow to answer any question or make any statement regarding this money. The simple reason is that with so many legal threats thrown around his head, anything he says regarding this sum is evidence that can and will probably be used against him in the future. (I am quite sure that his counsel has already advised him thus) Ebou Jallow knows this and has stated the fact that he does not have any legal or moral obligation to answer any charge on Gambia-l which is evidently true. Putting Ebou to test on his change of heart, given that he made some statements right here on the L which have been contradicted by his apology, is genuine. The approach however, does in some instances defeat the purpose. I don't think making demands is going to make him say what he does not want to say. I would advise those genuinely seeking the truth to change their approach and engage the guy instead of getting personal and making demands no one is in a position to enforce. I would not be surprised if this whole debate ends up being an exercise in futility if the methods employed are not changed. Thanks.
