Thanks for your comments. However, I must clarify that my issue with PDOIS
and any other party at this point in time is vis a vis making a decision to
join hands with the other political parties as a strategy to help us expel a
brutal dictatorship.

I have to say that although I have some knowledge of PDOIS' platform, I have
not educated myself enough on their socialist stand. I have stayed clear of
that issue when it was raised here on the L by others, simply because of
this. As to their ability to connect with the Gambian population, well, what
little I know about PDOIS certainly does not tell me that they are the worst
that has happened to our country because to be fair, some of their agenda
consists of very high ideals that can only help propel us forward, and to me,
that also encompasses being a part of any plan that will ultimately remove a
dictatorship. This is the dillemma that a lot of us are battling when we see
any actiuons to the contrary.
