Guys,
I have just found about who Bro Oko is? this guy has brought a lot entertainment to my native town even though we never like the band to stop when we pay our tickets as Bro OKO will testify we make sure there is always value for money.
I remember when is time for "Njimbersango"or Mbassa by Musa Ngum all hell broke loose Bro oko thanks for the time it was well worth it,the dalasi was was strong then i remember one Nigerian friend telling me that the Dalasi was the African Dollar and that was the only reason he was in the gambia,it makes my blood boil to see what's happening to that currency now.
I jump for joy in 1994 back home when these cow boys took power because i was finally getting the change i long for how little did i know what's in store for me and all those cheering thousands that is going to endless economic malpractice, constant harassment of the press people disappearing without trace for weeks on.
Make no mistake if anyone thinks you are going to destroyed the Gambia,Gambia will destroy you first.
What we need is Leaders who are prepared to stand up to this bullies you
can love or loathe Waa Juwara but one thing for so he has guts,is a shame that can't be said for the likes of Sheriff Dakala Dibba,my grand father supported that man until his death poor old gran thinks the sun shine out of his what's is,he will turn inside his grave if he knew that this so called hero of his has pimp & tarted his political beliefs for his own ends he sacrifice his soul to serve the very administration that he once
redicule no wonder Ebrima Ceesay lay into him here in London.
I hope for Gambia's sake this administration comes to an end soon rather later.
Peace
Paps

> Hello Brother Paps,

> Happy koriteh.I will give you a brief on me.

Yes! My name sounds familiar to a few: See/www.google.com for Oko Drammeh

I was The official promotion manager of Ifangbondi Band . Later I organised sunday eveings talent
star search shows ( called the Hewareh) at the tropical night club in Banjul. There ,I presented all
the other Gambian groups and upcoming bands in my musical shows including Gelewarr band, Kankujare
band, Magadan Karantaba band, etc,and many groups from The Gambia and Senegal including Njaga
Mbye. I moved the show to Europe in 1983 and invited Ifangbondi to Hollad where I worked regularly
with Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masakela, Alpha Blondy, King Sunny Ade , Fela Kuti, Lucky Dube,Youssou Ndour
, Salif Keita, Mory kante and Africa;s most reknown musician the late Franco and the OK jazz..The
show was on Tour in the US and occationally held in Hollywood at the John Anson Ford therter. Still
moving on and up.
Next year I have a 3 month festival tour of China and Japan opening the door, AS USUAL to Africn
music in new business frontiers.

Right ,that's me, the familiar one.!!!
