Malanding,

I see your point but I dont think it has anything to do with what Yaya said
or did not say,the debate is beyound that,I believed it has more to do with
human phycology. The debate has all the time been dominated by those who
favoured it,should we not start mobilising in this debate before it is too
late,before the issue become obvious.
In Nigeria the debate was on for long, until it fits the interest of
politicians(I mean so-called religious leaders) and now no protest when the
freedom of the people is being rolled back.I love Juwaras involvement in
this and the way he is going on with it,he need our voices. He is a person
with authority and there is no doubt that many will hear him speak and it
will be difficult to use the argument that only anti ismlam eliments are
against it.
When ever Yaya finds it necessary to maintain political power he will
introduce it,as it is in Iran,Sudan etc.Mobilising opinion now is
necessay,at least he will know that there would be resistence,it will be
left to him to dicide if he will take the risk or not to attemp to break the
resistent ,for political power. If we dont speak aginst some of these
religious hypocrits now,it might be already late before we react.I hate to
think this thought.

For Freedom
Saiks
