Thank you Brother Demba.

While aiming for a complete change, we might make small gains along
the way. Most, if not all of us would welcome incremental change and
we must keep pushing on all fronts. However, year by year the
situation keeps deteriorating and it is readily apparent that Jammeh
will keep using everything at his disposal, brutally, to keep the
status quo. Thus my skepticism on any meaningful change while he leads.

Failed coalition building debacles has many competing truths and
opinions but it would be futile to tackle that subject now. In terms
of presidential elections, only a united front will have potency but
even that will not guarantee victory. As we know one man controls all
the avenues to free and fair elections.

This regime will most likely be removed by force through an uprising
after electioneering or an incident of murder, torture, arson or what
have you. Or by coup d'etat. I don't think elections in itself will
remove this regime, that is not to say we should stop trying.

Happy 2013.

Edi Jah
