Joe,

If it means anything, I'm with you. Kebba's points are very sound, but
considering the opportunity this All-Inclusive (political parties) Meeting
holds for the future of our country, it's a shame that the UDP will not make
it. Like you and many others, I simply don't see why EVERY MEMBER of the UDP
Executive HAS TO BE in the country in order for them to stop Yaya Jammeh's
thugs from doing their dirty tricks. I thought there was more to the story
than we were told, so I tried to get an opinion from someone who's close to
them down there, but I haven't been able to get to him in the past three
days. But, to be very kind, their excuse is lame. It has taken the wind out
of our sails! And I'm one very disappointed opposition sympathizer. This is
one party that needs to get it's act together. I'm beginning to doubt
whether they even bother to look at some of the wonderful advice that people
like KB often give them on this forum. Because if they do, I don't
understand how they could keep making serious tactical errors. And if they
don't, then quite frankly we don't need them vying for our country's
leadership. In any case, UDP is the only loser in this scenario. Make no
mistake here, this is another APRC "victory" (at least that's how they'll
present it.) Talk about wasted opportunities!

Saul.
