Well Cousin,

As a shrewd responsible capitalist I have to be prudent.

Before giving a figure, I would love to know some internal basics about Foroyaa's balance sheet and operating costs. Then I will know many loads of money I have to drop.

One never knows. The case of Alieu Conteh, Gambian tycoon in DR Congo, is still fresh in mind. He was made to buy the then GAMBIA AIRWAYs only to discover that he bought a bottom-less pit.

So if the Foroyaa people can tell you the current asset and liability base of the Paper, I will name a fantastic price.

Nawari,

Prince B.A. Sankanu

Again Cous Prince, how much is Foroyaa worth to you?? I thought you were serious when you suggested acquiring the gazette.

Haruna.

Majam Cousin Haruna,

Well for me Foroyaa is priceless. The most important thing for me is knowing how much it will cost to keep it running for a year (annual operating costs) and the possible additional cash injection for investment in modernization and diversification (Foroyaa TV, Foroyaa Radio, Foroyaa Mobile, etc.).

The basic entries for me are however the annual operating costs and the severance package for the pioneers.

Will the owners of Foroyaa leave their "baby" with me?

There is a lot of emotion involved. I am however hopeful that with your smartness, you can make it happen. It will be win-win for all parties.

NAWARI and all the best in convincing the Foroyaa folks. They are hard nuts very difficult to crack. Hahaha.

Lovely weekend to everyone.

Prince B.A. Sankanu

Alisoxoma,

I have no time and interest in commenting on the normal internal problems of
Foroyaa.

But before things get out of hand, I feel I should drop in my 50 Bututs.

Like I hinted previously, with all their shortcomings the PDOIS folks are
Survival Artists. They are resilient with nine lives like the proverbial cats.
HAHAHA!

I owe my formative political education to Foroyaa and Halifa Sallah. So even if
I do not join PDOIS or the Foroyaa Team, I sympathize with the them in the name
of compassion.

I believe FOROYAA is an institution that must be PRESERVED in one way or the
other for posterity.

Should the current owners decide to sell FOROYAA in due course, I am ready to
BUY it just to help preserve it for the future generations without immediate
profit motives. But I hope it will not come to that and the current owners will
handle the internal stress with maturity.

Alingbara.
