Joe
Here is the name of the prophet's closest companions and where they are
buried,
and MUCH MORE IMPORTANTLY where they were DIED.

The first 4 later became caliphs.

Abu Bakr Siddiq:-
The first caliph (632-634) and Muhammad's father-in-law.
Died Medina and is buried next to prophet inside
the Al Masjid Al Naboaye (the prophet's mosque) Sorry if the spellings
wrong.

Umar Bin Khattab:-
The second caliph and Muhammad's father-in-law.(another father-in-law, as
the prophet pbuh practiced polygamy)
He was murdered in 644 by a slave with a personal grudge against him.
Place of murder Medina. Buried next to the prophet inside the Al masjid al
naboaye( the prophet's mosque

Uthman ibn `Affan:-
The third caliph (644-656) and Muhammad's son-in-law.
Uthman was murdered in 656 by a group of discontented Egyptians :
Place of murder:- Medina :place of burial Medina:- close to the prophet's
mosque but not inside the
mosque for reasons I do not know.

Ali Bin Abi Talib
The fourth caliph (655-661) and Muhammad's cousin and son-in-law.
Ali was killed by a Kharijite in 661:- Place of murder : Near Baghdad or
Basra in modern day Iraq.
Place of burial:- Baghdad or Basra. where he died.

Abu Rouwaiha:-close companion of the prophet. I don't when he died or where
he is buried

Annas Bin Malik: prophet's helper. do not know where he died or where he is
buried.

Amru Ibn Al As:- close companion of prophet:- died in Egypt and is buried
there.

Bilal Ibn Rabah:- prophets close companion and muezzin.
Place of death:- Damascus Syria Place of Burial:- Damascus Syria.

And NOTE SIMON: Bilal's wife was not an Abyssinian but an Arab

"Traditions relate that Bilal's marriage had been arranged by the Holy
Prophet (S.A.W.) himself, It is stated that the sons of Abul Bukair one day
came to the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) and said, "0 Messenger of Allah, find a
match for our sister. "The Holy Prophet observe, "Why do you not marry her
to Bilal Hearing this they went back, but after a few days they came again
and repeated the same request, and the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) gave the same
reply. Thus after a few days they came third time with the same request.
This time also the Prophet (S.A.W.) giving the same reply added, "Bilal is
an inmate of Paradise; you should marry your sister to him." So, having
heard the Prophet's advice, they married their sister to Bilal. Bilal
(R.A.A.) took more wives after this marriage. According to Qatadah he had
married a lady of the tribe of Banu Zuhra. It is also recorded that one of
his wives was Hin-ul-Khulania who belonged to Yemen. Bilal has no issue from
any of his.

Once Bilal related to his wife a Tradition of the Holy Prophet(S.A.W.) but
his wife expressed some doubts about the authenticity of his report. Bilal
in a mood of anger went to the Prophet (S.A.W.) and recounted his dispute
with his wife, The Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) went with him to his house and
observed to his wife, "You should take Bilal's words for any Tradition of
mine, and do not give him cause for anger."

I hope this answers your questions and also that of Fye's and perhaps Simon
too, for his assertion that Bilal
was not able to marry an Arab is categorically wrong. The prophet (pbuh)
found him his 1st wife.
And Joe pls note that no one is worshipped in Islam apart from Allah, so a
pilgrimage to Bilal's burial
ground would be wrong if done in a way you are suggesting. Only the prophet
(pbuh) is accorded that privilege.

Have a nice weekend and regards from wet, damp Southampton.

Manneh
