Thank Malanding. I ventured to take my curious nature outside to see
for myself what is happening. I followed a path that has already been
made in the snow in the middle of my street. I can tell you that it is
a great exercise trying to walk in three feet deep of snow, and other
curious minded people like myself were also trudging in the snow
sometimes breathlessly.

In almost all the streets I passed through, people are either trying to
dig their cars out of the snow parked in the street, in their
driveways or just making passable pathways to access their front doors
or the back of their houses.

In the main feeder roads that are partially plowed, and they aren't
much, the four wheel trucks can be seen plying down the streets, and
sometimes in a road that leads to nowhere, one wonders if they just
wanted to be in the streets because they have a four wheel drive.

These partially plowed main streets are also crowded with curious
onlookers; people who are bored sitting at home watching TV for the
past two days, or people who just want to find something to do like
going to the grocery stores that are open.

Looking at the pile of snow from street to street, and across the whole
city, undoubtedly the City has a major challenge in their hands. This
also has a big economic impact. Parking lots where banks and other big
stores are located not yet plowed. Most business concerns will not be
ready to open tomorrow morning.

And given that most cities are financially challenged, especially our
city, it will take days and probably help from outside to see us
through this. Meanwhile we will hang in there and stay safe. Regards.

Rene

It looks like the situation will not change until tomorrow. The city
must be financially strapped.
