The story
The complain on Badala Park is a case of two good friend..Sammy Lai
Mboge and Mam Beram George (Buki Bi) are best of friends. Beram always
lived at Badala and during holidays in the Gambia he is always welcomed
at Badala Park Sammy Lai Mboge is The owner of The Hotel They lived
together in Sweden for years as one heart one blood and one soul.

The Witness
I was in The Gambia and I was at Palm Beach, the sister hotel to Badala
when I heard the news that Mam Beram was given marching orders to leave
The Badala park hotel on the following grounds.

1. For beating one of the staff (a helpless handicapped man) with his
walking stick and threathened to strangle the guy.
2.That Mam Beram had a huge bill to be paid at The bar and ignored
warnings to pay.
3. That Mam Beram invited guests to round tables and serve them without pay.
4. Insulted Chief room supervisor Fanta Johnson with abuses.
5.That Mam Beram did still did not pay his bills in Thousands of dalasis.

But Lai Mboge fovoured Mam Beram!
With all these complains to the Hotel owner Lai Mboge he would swallow
it and consider because Mam Beran is his good friend.Sammy Lai Mboge is
The Consulate of Tunisia in the Gambia. He is really a youth promoter
giving his hotels for making videos recording, artists performces,
conferences, sponsored dinners and he would give the place for free on
family wedding celebrations. He gives alot to the community and he has
many friends..He is a nice and friendly man. But he is also a Ndongo and
have his limits.

We Celebrated together!
I was with Mam Beram Geprge and Lai Mboge when we celebrate the medal
award reception when I heard Mam Beram said that he helped promote
Badala because of his nice-Buki promotional photos which he made for his
friend.Otherwise there should have been an agreement or a contract for
proof. I see the 2005 booklets and this picture is not there.

Bumsters
The bumsters in The Gambia are almost as similar to the Bumsters in
Jamaica, Spain, Ibiza, Dakar etc. They share the same fate in crime:
prostitution, cheap favours, irritating attitude, mind- games and petty
trading It is all too familiar. The bumsters in The Gambia do not
operate like Maffia as it is done in Rio or in Montego Bay.
Tourism is a consumer culture. The more you conscume the more you change
with it.. We are definately changing in The gambia. We are now having
gun slingers, knief yardies, pepper- spray kids, and violent pick
pocketers. This is in the new Gambia (TDA) built within the old Gambia.
It is a new life out there. Therefore do not use your bullets ever, never
ever. The situation will escalate.

Pay Agreements!
The story of neglegence that causes accidents should be reported
rightaway than complaing it after a year. I do not remember accidents
at the hotels which required special investagation and compentiation How
is your insurance ? Compulsary travel insurance is an order in Holland
for travelling tourists.
And workers not being paid on time is too much a regular practice in the
Gambia, even in Europe. The unions in The Gambia who represent these
institutions like The teachers, house maids, the Nurses, the drivers and
many more who are not paid on time, sometimes for months have a big
problem. Something has to been done.

Emotional
I think that the hurt, the anger and the insults are very personal; and
time will tell that this will fall in place soon. I beg to Mam Beram to
freeze this topic, change place of residence and leave the case to settle
down. There is no need to go to court or to turn to these kind of
articles of damage.

I hope that this will stop here and we try to reunite the good old
friends again.

With all Respect

>I have nothing to do with that article or with the bumsters on the beaches in the Gambia. I am well known in the Gambia and abroad and many people recognise me in that photo. My photo was published in such a way that it is deforming my character and the photo itself was also manipulated (coming from page 25 in the catalogue "The Gambia Experience" for the season Nov 2000-Oct 2001) .

>I blame my cousin and "friend" Sammy Lai Mboge. I have supported him and Badala Park Hotel since the start in 1991. Many more people and authorities are angry with him. For one, he does not pay his hotel workers correctly.
>Recently I received a significant warning letter from Mr Matarr Drammeh, who claims that he is the accountant general of Badala Park Hotel. I do not recognise that letter.

>I was born in the Gambia in 1944 and live in Sweden since 1972. I have travelled a lot and I am well recognised as a businessman and traveller. I am a well qualified artist in three technical fields but I am not a musician. I have three City & Guilds from the Swedish technical highschool - glazier, building carpenter, welder and blacksmith. Me and my wife were the first to write a wollof phrase booklet (in 1974).

>I am very angry because I am suffering from harassment, humiliation, maltreatment, my life has been jeopardised and I am encountering cheating financially and injustice. My life has been threatened because my image has been used to promote Badala Park illegally without my authority for the past seven years and I have been threatened severely and provoked in Banjul and Serekunda and I have given the blame to the proprietor of Badala Park.
>
>In August 1998 my wife had an accident caused by the negligence of Badala Park because of the bad structure of the foundation near to the à la carte restaurant and my wife Ida George fell to the stone ground and hit her face severely and suffered from bruises and a swollen eye the right one. The worse thing was that she injured her small finger on the right hand which will never be OK again. This we know from various hand surgeons in Sweden and they even refuse to operate (by taking bone from the leg and screw it in the finger) because the handicap can only be worse. None from the management of Badala Park has ever called my wife and asked her how she is feeling after the accident, which we believe is inhuman or paganism - and it is a disgrace to a so called friend - because we, Ebrima Lamin George and wife, are not among the members of the owner of Badala Park family so they use us to generate so many millions of dollars and Euro.
>
>I am ready to solve it once and for all. Even to go to court for my right. None has right to maltreat me and my wife. I have more to say and more to fight for and there are many tangible reasons that I will use to hit the devil and the hypocrites. Allah says in the Hadiths "he who shows no mercy should not get mercy".
>I am an international businessman and also an agent of many companies and all these companies give me the highest respect that any nobleman deserves and a great honour. I have no artificial life, all my life is unique and all my qualifications are highly honoured and important and very valuable for the benefit of mankind.
>Gambia and the Gambians are longing for me to gain knowledge from my blessing and I fear neither hardship nor death, nor anybody who is dealing with sorcery, rubbish black magic, criminal lawyers or so called haram-money-man. I have more "bullets to shoot" that anybody can imagine, which I do not think the proprietor can afford, it could lead to the bankruptcy of Badala Park Hotel and Palm Beach.
