Mr. Ceesay,

Like Joe Sambou, I also think that you have issues beyond the mere
recognition of black achievements. Reading throuhg all the responses to your
postings so far, everyone is struggling to decode your signals and your
subsequent pieces are no help either. I was quick to recognize that you are
in the diehard "let black be African" school of thought. I may be wrong on
this but for the sake of a fair debate, make your thoughts clear for all. It
doesn't help either by adding clips like "MAYBE" in the subject headers of
your postings. Are you insinuating a change of positions? Like I said in my
other posting, you may be taken away from Africa (not necessarily
physically) but one cannot take Africa out of you. We're proud of that, but
I think that achievements of people of African decent cannot be taken away
from them either. What mr. Coker is trying to do by sending that message is
to give us the rare opportunity to recognize these achievements. Take it as
that and nothing more complicating.
