Messrs Jaiteh & Kah
Oh well, I think the figures speak for themselves. A lot of people have
written about
the yolk of indebtedness Jammeh is forcing on our, our kids and probably
grand kids'
shoulders(especially in the past couple of days) but I guess we can say that
our worries
are indeed REAL, and as such we have been vindicated.

I hope we won't be bombarded with yet more lame excuses that the govt is
building
super highways from Kartong to Koina, or that it is building hospitals and
schools.

These people are the worst thing to ever happen to us. They buy stuff with
the borrowed
money and turn around and lie to the people (between their teeth) that they
are presents
from SAVIOUR Jammeh or Njie Saidy. (The forwarded articles by Mr Gassama
earlier on today is
one good example, Njie Saidy giving out trucks to Kanifing council). I think
the least they
could do is to let the people know that Jammeh is not giving them presents
but rather
that it's money borrowed in all our names he is using to buy stuff with and
turning around
and dishing it out to us as a token gesture of his generosity, but again
that will be expecting
too much, won't it??

I feel really upset and helpless knowing that people are doing backbreaking
work on the farms
and risking their lives at sea daily, and yet they are getting poorer and
poorer and more
indebted by each second of each day. It is absolutely sickening!!

We should each do our bit in letting our folks know what a really messy
situation have been
forced upon us all.

God help us
Manneh

Assuming the population of the Gambia is 1,300,000, that makes a whopping
D8000 debt for every Gambian.
