As the news was reported on Gambia TV about Femmi Peters meeting Yahya 
Jammeh at the Statehouse, it has been comfirmed by Mr peters.

Peters said Jammeh appealed to him to join the APRC  but he told him 
defecting to the APRC  is the last thing he would do. He told Jammeh that 
UDP party in which he is not only a member but a founder member is the best 
party for the country. He told Jammeh if that is why you invited me then it 
is meaningless.

The UDP campaign manager promised to clear the air on saturday, March  11, 
2006 at the UDP/NRP  Sere Kunda east scheduled meeting.
