PANORAMA with 'Bulfaaleh'-Serious cracks in The Gambia, threats to sub regional security.
  Inside Banjul tears,torture,questionable happiness?
For the past days silence has been my tool. There are so many things happening in The Gambia these days. These are things one cannot write about in an irresponsible way. The best thing to do is nothing less than gathering pieces and pieces against the incumbent government. The government is scared to death but pretending to be upbeat. They aren't near zeal or keen interest when it comes to addressing public concerns.

The government is scared to death but pretending to be upbeat. They aren't near zeal or keen interest when it comes to addressing public concerns.
A government that’s working hard does not hire newspapers for endless adverts. President Jammeh's government advertises itself because it is a merciless business firm. These adverts are marks of shame and despair. Looking at the editorial of the daily observer and the latest ratification of the UN charter on torture speak volumes about this government. For those International workers in Banjul to know...the same charter was ratified by former president Jawara long ago. This is not news it is meant to cleanse the Jammeh government because the CPJ and reporters without borders have succeeded in telling the other side of the world that President Jammeh is an unwanted head of state. The news concentrated on President Jammeh's rotten side for two weeks only this has not been that long. After a short while The Gambia has seen President Jammeh's paper defending him tooth and nail. This confirms cowardice and irresponsibility period.
President Jammeh covering everything and nothing.
There are three major places President Jammeh is trying to shield from the public immediately before and immediately after the AU summit.
  Mile Two Central Prisons.
Inside Mile Two the state house is working day and night to make sure that nothing leaks. In President Jammeh's mind e has covered everything, however in the minds of the existing social watch dogs President Jammeh has not covered anything. During the past days I have received more damaging revelations that President Jammeh can ever imagine. I have been trying to lie low, not for my own protection but for the protection of escapees. I knew they were escaping, I knew where they went through but was advised not to reveal the names of those who helped them. On the whole there are elements within the NIA who do not like President Jammeh. They are not going to be named because we want them to succeed in helping others. This is why President Jammeh trusts his CHIAKAS when it comes to handling Mile Two more than the NIA. President Jammeh lives on dreams and imaginations. He believes that there will be people attacking mile two to rescue those incarcerated there. This is bogus
and a cover he wants to use to torture those kept there.
The side effects of Imprisoning Lawyer Mariam Denton.
Mariam Denton has joined the list of brave female freedom fighters in the world. She is being kept within a tight corner because of the coming AU summit. Female prisoners of conscience are a good breeding ground for those fighting for social justice. Today I was speaking to one of President Jammeh's men he said that his boss is scared to set Mariam free because she may speak or offer interviews to the press while the heads of state are in Banjul attending the AU summit. This is why President Jammeh is not 'toying' with Mile Two's political inmates particularly Lawyer Mariam Denton.
NIA and CHIAKAS in 'mofty' will be hunting down ushers and protocol officers who talk...
President Jammeh has to know that his Intel officers are bandits they are not seasoned. Their own boss is called 'tammeh' he leaks like a pipe with large holes. Two days ago I heard something interesting from an agent. He was talking to his girl friend. The girl friend and I know one another. I gave her a small recorder to tape him. Nowadays we have gone to that stage President Jammeh will learn a lot more about dedicated Gambians who are ready to take him out of state house by any means necessary. I was so pleased when this girl did not fail the mission. I was concerned because I thought she was going to fail. What did she get from the Intel officer? This is so damaging. The girl posed as someone interested in becoming an usher during the AU summit. She was pursuing the Intel officer like hell i.e. to be hired temporarily therefore make money. The NIA officer knew what was being done behind the scenes. He wanted to impress the girl so he bluffingly told her this:" Okay,
don't worry I will give you more than what they will pay to those ushers during the occasion" The then insisted on knowing why he was generous because the guy is usually stingy. The girl will not be arrested because it is only her and the Intel officer who know what am writing here. If he arrests her then he will also be arrested.
The NIA Intel finally released the cat out of the bag. He told the girl he is one of those assigned to monitor the ushers during summit. Monitoring the ushers is not to secure the guests. This is a shame. These goons are assigned to monitor the ushers so that none of them would talk about critical papers like the freedomnewspaper. The Jammeh secret agents are afraid that these ushers will inadvertently inform some of the guests about the freedompaper.
Secondly they have warned some agents not to allow critical newspapers in the hotels or villas. This is the latest.
This is why the daily observer,Tijan Hydara and Dr Taal rushed to publish the article on The Gambia government's ratification of the this section against torture. These are one the components of President Jammeh's speech during the forth coming AU Summit. He will use that and other latest things to sell himself.
Is Foroya the next paper to go down?
President Jammeh says he is not going to tolerate what he calls 'nonsense' before or during the AU summit. President Jammeh is not after responsible journalism he is after critical journalism. He sees any critical news item as a threat to security. This is usually the highest stage dictators can attain i.e. when they succeed in calling everything or anybody critical a threat to state security. President Jammeh's CHIAKAS are not resting in all this. They are being trained inside the state house and near Alakunda. They will be using worse tactics to silence critics in days to come. I have heard someone mentioning Foroya as the CHIAKA'S next target(arson attack).
Foroya has should be mindful. They have to guard their installations otherwise they could be the next targets. They have to guide their location in Kotu where they keep their archives. They have to help safe the life of the watch man there. I received these details from a state house personnel. This means this officer knows and is surveying these locations every day. Foroya angered President Jammeh by publishing something the other side of the story on those who hacked the freedompaper. I know for certain that President Jammeh is not happy about that article. He fears that Foroya will be the only paper to tackle him now onwards. President Jammeh will do all he can to stop any negative reports about his government immediately before or immediately after the AU.
The same NIA agents will be observing advance teams coming from other capitals prior to the arrival of their respective heads of state. They will be curtailing these people's ins and outs. It is pathetic that our President is working so hard to conceal his bad side.
