Dear Friends,
I promised sometime ago to do some consultations with the authorities
on the needs of Campama and get back to you for your assistance. Let me
say that getting information from offices is not easy these days,
especially when you mention the involvement of Gambia-L . I had a
meeting with board members of BODY& MIND a newly formed group with the
same aim of assisting the Campama some two months back and briefed them
on my plans to help and i also provided them with the copies of the
exchange of ideas. They promised to get back to me but i have still not
got news from them. Any way life has to go on and i have this list below
for your information and assistance both for now and the long term.

TRAINING NEEDS.
1. Post basic training of nurses to psychiatric nurses.
 2. Attachment\refresher courses for trained psychiatric nurses.
3. Training of interested Gambian medical officers as psychiatrists.
INFRASTRUCTURE.
1. Building of a 60 bedded ward with basic furniture. There is
available land in the premises.
2.Renovation and repainting of the existing units.
3. Extension and equipping of the rehabilitation centre ; Sewing
machine, knitting materials, carpentry tools.

EQUIPMENT.
1. ELECTRO-MAMMOGRAM (EMG) machine.
2. Electro-encephalogram (EEG) machine.
3. medicine trolley
4.Electro-convulsive therapy (ECT) machine.
5.Beds and bedside lockers.
6.PVC covered mattresses.
7.patient gowns for male and female.
8. office equipment. AND ANY OTHER EQUIPMENT THAT WILL BE USEFUL IN A
HOSPITAL.

I wish to commend Ousu Njie Senor , Deyda Hydara and group for the
continues support and assistance to Campama. May God bless you all.
Special thanks to George christensen for dedicating a special programme
on his station on Campama.
Looking forward to your support in this regard.

Chi Jamma,
