It's always good to have an insider's perspective. Like you said, even if
the story is untrue, it doesn't qualify to be the beef of a libel law suit.
And common sense will tell us that the Independent wouldn't be so reckless
to publish a false story about Jammeh, knowing how much he wants them out of
commission. I'd rather this be a more important story, but these guys have
concrete evidence that the marriage took place. It's going to be public, no
matter how hard Jammeh tries to hide it. So why torment these people. He did
the same childish hide-and-seek when he took on #2.
