Dear Fatou,
       I myself have made several attempts today and yesterday to get
through to The Gambia and FINALLY, I did.  Yes something is wrong with
the phone lines.  They can call out but it is very hard as you know to
get a call in.  I talked to someone and had told them to hang up, that I
would call back but it took 1 and 1/2 hours to do so, when no one was on
the phone on the receiving end.  GOOD LUCK AND PATIENCE, after all it is
a virtue.                       Eventually you to will get through!
