Mr Dampha,
I entirely agree with your justified outrage with this
numerical potpourri replete with misplaced priorities, bogus figures and
projections and outright lies that Famara Jatta is masquerading as a budget
document. This government is presiding on an unmitigating disaster with a
foundering economy characterized by shriveling tax receipts, huge and
increasingly unmanageable deficits and a near comatose private sector.
Gambians sadly are being lead into the abyss. They increasingly must endure
incalculable hardship for the near term because the government of Yahya
Jammeh will never be able get a handle on the basic issues trapping them in
grinding poverty. The current leadership has neither the temprement nor the
ability to move the nation to the direction it ought to be on. This whole
exercise is a charade .
Karamba
