Dr. Mamunafaj Dofyeb, president of the Psychiatric Association of Gambia,
said Dr. Hajbi Yahakat Afiyah Ak Jami Jambur Jammah was suffering from the
"pathology of the powerful."

The Gambian Bar Association was scheduled today to submit a request for
impeachment to the House of Parliament based on a commission report
charging that Dr. AJJ Jammah received $65 million from corrupt businessmen
over the last decade and declared that he is no longer a fool after being
taken for ride all these years.

No definitive medical profile on Dr. AJJ Jammah has been made public, and
it's difficult to say how seriously anyone regards the talk about Dr. AJJ
Jammah’s mental health. But criticism mounts with each disclosure of
unusual behavior: retreating from public life and consulting numerologists
and spiritualists; declaring he has received a mandate to cure AIDS,
Asthma and diabetes and that all diseases will be eradicated before the
end of the year; declaring that who ever cross his line will be turned to
dust and smoke.

Our esteeemed correspondent could not confirm the story as Dr. AJJ Jammah
was said to be busy licking his rizla and picking seeds from the holy weed
and could not come to the phone.

We will continue our attempt to verify the mental status of his excegency.
