I am glad that you made mentioned the following points on your frustrated
respond to the challenge facing many of your types on the Bantaba.

You wrote,
<<<<<Or is president Jammeh a better patriot than you are? >>>>>

For your information President Jammeh is not a patriot is a "Gangsters" a
patriot don't use guns and forceful means of taking over power. If
"Gangsterism" is what you call patriotism then I bet you need to a little
bit of catching up in the real world as well as the academy. President
Jammeh did not see the need for change he sees the need for enriching
himself and his gang. He would not have potrayed himself as a king I bet
you know what the Mandingos call "Mansa". Infact for you to justify the
seizure of power by group of Gangsters as a genuine move makes me wonder
about your level of understanding as to what we really meant by patriotism.

You wrote,
<<<<<<People like Martin Luther
King, Jr., Mahatma Gandhi, and even president Jammeh, because if the coupe
was a failure he will not be living the life he is now enjoying. They
sacrifice their lives and succeeded. >>>>>>>>>>

To compare Jammeh with these people is an insult to the world black nation
and the struggle for peace and justice. Infact what even make it worse is to
go beyond that to justify their corrupt way of live as something they
deserve. I bet they are enjoying today but just give them a little time and
you will see to it that it did not worth to be a "Gangster". I am glad that
you made mentioned above points that they are really enjoying whiles
thousands of Gambians, they are suppose to be representing are starving not
even at the verge of surviving. They did not sacrifice their lives but they
use their guns which were readily available. Infact with whom did they
sacrifice their lives with? There was no body to fight with, no one has a
gun in the Gambia apart from them. So who do you fight with or confront
with? Of course they will succeed when there was no opponents, in that I
mean people with guns like them. I think you should also apologise to
Halipha and the others for even comparing them to President Jammeh because
that I fine very offensive.

You wrote,
<<<<<<If you find or noticed something wrong why not call a
press conference and challenge the person(s) responsible? > >>>>>>>

Well, one does not need to call a press conference in a situation that is
very plain and clear to the public. The situation at home and the arrogance
of the AFPRC regime is clear to the people. Press conferences are called to
clarify to people but if the people are already aware of their living
conditions you don't need that. All you need is to highlight them and
re-emphasised it.

You Wrote,
<<<<<<<<<I bet y’all if
Katim, Malanding, Ndey or Dr. Janneh became the president today, the same
people whom they concur with will be their biggest critics. >>>>>>>>>

Well I am not a concurer and I don't believe in concurring so you can try a
better one. As you can see and observe I am not a dictator so am open to
criticism of any kind, cause as human beings we learn from our critics.

You wrote,
<<<<<<<Let us remember the
Mandinka saying that "it does not matter how long a wood stayed in water it
will never be a crocodile.">>>>>>>>>

I believe this is the best sentence you have said so far and really I have
to commend you for that. That brings me to the conclusion that "Gangsters"
can never be Patriotic and can never be called patriots.Trying to turning a
military regime into civilian is like as you described Turning a wood that
has been in the water for quite a while to a crocodile.

Just a word of advice please go and read better and then come up with better
analysis of the situation of the Gambian intellectuals cause I almost
thought that you are "Intellectual forbic". I think one thing you forget was
that living in the West does not remove ones patriotism away but infact you
don't even seems to understand the word it self just like the President and
his Gang.

What is cowardice is to take power by arm from the armless, I bet that is
among the symptoms of cowardice. As I always said before any Gambian be it
inside or outside the Gambia who is not serving the interest of the Gambian
people is a brain drain to the country. So therefore the Gambia Government
serving the interest of the imperialist is a brain drain to the Gambian
people. So brother SBajo you can see that being in Gambia one can also be a
complete drain to the public, so it does not matter where one is. What
matters is what one does to change the situation that one is confronted
with.

Working with President Jammeh to me personally will be the worse crime I
could ever commit against the Gambian people. After seeing and observing for
myself the type of dictator and tyrant he is. Well, I hope he is not your
role model cause President Jammeh and his gangs are the "heroes of horror"

Well, hopefully you will take more lessons before coming back!!!!

The Struggle Continues!!!

Subject: Re: The Interview Of Ex-President Jammeh

Please can someone help to solve a puzzle that has been burdening me for a
long time. It seems anytime I came close to solve it, I get confused even
more. Most of us left home in search of a greener pasture, but why don't we
never return home to settle and help in the development of our dear nation?
However, when it comes to this question some of our so-called intellectuals
are of no good role models, because they prefer to rather stay in the West
than to go back home for good. Through the comments frequently posted in the
Gambia-L, I tend to believe that our daily life is based on finding negative
news, comparing and contrasting the similarities and differences between the
present and the past government. These critical views are mostly from our
so-called intellectuals who have nothing to provide us except criticisms. Is
it that only those who have accessibility to the Bantaba are the only good
Gambians to express our ideas and concerns to? To me knowledge combined
with
greed for money makes one to be selfish and hypocritical, but knowledge
combined with sacrifice makes one unselfish and a good role model. Why can't
we go home and share our knowledge and fortunes with our fellow citizens and
help in the development of our nation? America and most Western Nations got
almost everything that life needs, but Gambia do not have those luxurious
incentives. All these hours we are pulling and using our know how for the
betterment of the West has never been appreciated and will never be
recognized. I bet, if we work that hard in the Gambia, the country will
improve and our work will be clearly noticed and we will be blessed. Gambia
cannot pay us like our current employers, but the word is sacrifice. Most of
our so-called intellectuals will not go back because of the money they are
making here, or they will make an excuse that there is nothing in The
Gambia.
For God shake who is going to put something in The Gambia if you with your
Doctorate degree chose to stay away from home. Some will complain that they
are scared to go back, so what about guys like Halipha, Lawyer Darboe and
others who are fighting for a better Gambia. Are they a better citizen than
you? Or is president Jammeh a better patriot than you are? President Jammeh
and colleagues felt that there was a need for change that is why they seized
power. Some may not agree to the manner they expressed their feelings, but
what are you the doctor or the so-called intellectual doing or has done to
express your dissatisfaction to lend your help? Absolutely nothing, but to
criticize. Decent patriotic citizens are intimidated by nothing when it
comes
to sacrifice for their communities and nations. People like Martin Luther
King, Jr., Mahatma Gandhi, and even president Jammeh, because if the coupe
was a failure he will not be living the life he is now enjoying. They
sacrifice their lives and succeeded. "Please action speaks louder than
words." Some of our these so-called intellectuals refused to go home or if
they do, they are always in a haste to get back and filled the Bantaba will
nonsense critics. What hurts more is that if you noticed something wrong why
not fixed it or help fixed it, rather than capitalize on that issue to throw
dirt on another person. If you find or noticed something wrong why not call
a
press conference and challenge the person(s) responsible? But you rather
wait
to pump it in the Bantaba as soon as you got back. What a hypocrite and
coward you are!!!!!!! How can we develop Gambia if each of us sit in our
homes or offices and post anything we desired on the Bantaba? Nothing!!!!!!!
I always observe some of our these so-called intellectuals in our gatherings
like ALD or July 4th; they always seem to be stocked to one place and looked
confused, but why not next time address the gathering with your thoughts and
ideas? Majority of Gambians cannot read nor write so why not go home and
educate them with your knowledge about a good governance? That might work!!!
You want change, work for it, don't be a hypocrite !!!!! I bet y’all if
Katim, Malanding, Ndey or Dr. Janneh became the president today, the same
people whom they concur with will be their biggest critics. We are all equal
and have similar prospect for the Gambia so let's share ideas and work
together rather than everyday criticisms. Please "if you want to be a man be
a man, if you want to be a worm be a worm" (Dickens). Let us remember the
Mandinka saying that "it does not matter how long a wood stayed in water it
will never be a crocodile." Please let go and join president Jammeh,
Sidiya,
Lawyer Darboe, or Hammed Bah and utilize our knowledge for a better Gambia,
rather than working our whole life for the West. What is a knowledge that
none of our owns benefit from? It called cowardice or
selfishness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
