M. Directeur Generale,
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I think you need to pay serious
attention to this matter. Two days ago, I was informed by a buddy of mine
indicating that he tried several times to visit the gambia.com website,
supposedly the official Gambia Government website, and found some very
derogatory comments on the site. Well, I was just able to look into his
inquiry and I myself was quite in awe when I saw what was on the main page.
It reads as follows :
                             fuck USA Government

                             fuck PoizonBOx

Now , the reason I brought this matter to your attention is because I
happened to run a search in WHOIS(networksolutions.com) and discovered that
the website is registered under The Gambia Embassy with yourself as the
Administrative Contact. Viz:

What is mindboggling for me still is why nothing has been done as of yet to
resolve this matter. I don't think the soon to be appointed US Ambassador
would appreciate such comments on our supposedly 'Official' Gambia
Government, and so in light of the fact that I, and I'm sure many would hate
for things to get ugly between our small Gambia and the Mega power USA, I
would like to make two suggestions on their behalf :
 1. Fire your webmaster forthwith. He must be sleeping on the job. The site
is been like this for couple of days now and that is unacceptable,
    especially on a national level.

 2. This one is a solution to the current problem and when you see how
easy it is to do, you will understand why I said that you should fire
your webmaster, and then shoot yourself on the foot. First, delete the
index file [index.htm] and replacem it with the current [index.html],
note the difference between the two is the latter ends with a 'l'. It's
minor difference but it can save us these embarassment. Here is what I
    mean :
http://www.gambia.com/index.htm [ takes you to the same CRAP]
and is same as typing : http://www.gambia.com

    Now, by going to :
http://www.gambia.com/index.html [Voila, this is what it should
         look]

Lastly Tombong, these guys are probably very malicious and very good I
would add, but just promise me that you will take some initiative in
remedying the matter once and for all. I also hope you take my advice/
concern in good faith. Irregardless of our differences and opinions, Gambia
belongs to all of us and I am offering my assistant in the best interest of
thy country. This matter is very serious in my opinion.Thank you.
                                                   Best Wishes,
                                                   George Sarr.
