Dear Haruna,

There's never been a better time for you to make a difference in this
presidential race. It's a dead heat -- but here in the homestretch, the momentum is
moving in John Edwards' direction.

Two polls released today show John surging in Iowa and New Hampshire. The
McClatchy Newspapers-MSNBC poll shows John gaining 3 percentage points and
surging into the lead since the holidays -- Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama both
lost ground over the same period. And a new American Research Group poll
shows John surging in New Hampshire too.

The momentum is breaking John's way at exactly the right moment -- but we
need your help to capitalize in Iowa, New Hampshire and beyond. We're about to
make political history. Victory in the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire
primary will propel John to the Democratic nomination. The big money candidates
can read the polls as well -- they see John's momentum, and they're playing
the old Washington game and launching desperate attacks.

But this campaign -- a campaign to put the American people first and have a
strong middle class -- cannot be stopped.

Sincerely,

--David Bonior
National Campaign Manager, John Edwards for President
