From "Agence France Presse"

HARARE, Jan 27(AFP)- President Robert Mugabe, presiding over the worst
economic crisis in Zimbabwe's history, won the jackpot in a bank lottery,
the state news agency Ziana reported Thursday.
Mugabe took top prize of 100,000 Zimbabwe dollars(about 2,600 US) in the
personal current account holders' category of a draw by Zimbank, which is
partly owned by the government.
All clients who kept at least 5,000 Zimbabwe dollars in their accounts for
the month of December were entered in the draw.
A hundred thousand dollars would be considered riches by most people in
Zimbabwe, where half the workforce is unemployed and minimum wages start at
less than 1,000 dollars (about 26 US) a month
