When I hear this headline from the wires on April 1, 2001, the last thing
that will cross my mind is that we are on April Fools' Day. In other words,
victory is almost in the bag for the UDP candidates. What would be a rude
and vicious joke would be if I wake up Sunday morning, call Banjul and I am
told that APRC won the by-elections. The only way APRC can even recover the
deposits of their candidates, is if they steal the elections. And all
indications are that the Opposition is not going to allow the vermin to
steal the elections. So long as the sun is going to rise from the east on
Saturday, UDP is going to rout APRC at the polls.

But we should not be complacent. Announcement from the IEC that votes would
be counted at polling stations, is a victory for the Opposition. This shows
that if we stand our ground on important and right issues, we will
eventually prevail. APRC, being the crooks they are, wanted ballot boxes to
be transported so that they can tamper with ballots. I am happy to hear that
this loop-hole has been closed and now votes will be counted and tallied at
respective polling stations. Once votes are counted in the presence of UDP
and APRC stalwarts, the matter then becomes an issue of simple addition of
the tallies from the various polling stations.

The way the UDP supporters handled the shameless Yankuba Touray and Baba
Jobe last Saturday, shows that when push comes to shove, people are going to
stand their ground. This dedication and commitment needs to be shown on
election day. Party representatives at polling stations have to be very
vigilant. DO NOT RELY ON THE IEC to ensure that ineligible voters are NOT
going to vote. As the rallies have shown, APRC do not have supporters in
Baddibu and Kiang. They always bus their supporters from other parts of the
country. They will try this on election day. They will also encourage their
few supporters in the constituencies to vote multiple times. UDP needs to
watch out for this and be prepared to vaporize anyone that wants to steal
the election. This is WAR. Life and death. The murderer of our children
should not be allowed to steal elections in The Gambia. Anyone that wants to
help him, should pay with his or her life.

IEC has their work cut out for them. The police and the military also have
their work cut out for them. If these bodies are stupid or selfish enough to
allow a vermin like Yaya abuse them and pit them against the Gambian people,
the people will fight back. Let us all observe the laws of the land. These
bodies are there to keep the peace and serve the interest of the Gambian
people. These bodies are NOT a tool to help perpetuate the fraud that is
Yaya. We have an opportunity to get rid of Yaya through constitutional and
peaceful means. I appeal to the IEC, the police and the army not to blow it.
If they step in to perpetuate Yaya, then they will bear full responsibility
for what is going to come next. If they have any brains at all, they will
take a cue from the determination shown by the people of Baddibu and Kiang
during the campaign season. These are not people that are going to lay down
and let thugs like Yaya and Baba Jobe walk over them.

Anybody that cannot see the writing on the wall, must be really blind. Yaya
is finished. The man has been living on borrowed time since he ordered the
massacre of our children on April 10 and 11, 2000. Smart people cut their
losses and engage in some damage control by distancing themselves from the
moron. It is only morons like Sedat Jobe, Baba Jobe, Yankuba Touray that
will still blindly follow Yaya to the gallows. These people are hopeless.
They all know that they are going to go down with Yaya. They are desperate.
But the ordinary citizen in the armed forces or farming in Kiang or Baddibu,
is not desperate. You must not allow these vermin to take you to Hell with
them. Do not support them and pay with your lives. Sedat Jobe knows that
when we get rid of Yaya we are going to seize his properties and throw him
in jail; and if he is in any way linked to the massacre on April 10 and 11,
2000, he will be hanged at the Independent Stadium. They know that. That is
why they will do anything to make sure that Yaya stays in power. We should
also be prepared to do anything to make sure that all these vermin pay their
debt to society.

UDP should be vigilant and victorious on Saturday. The victory should be
repeated come October. I receive news of NRP's support of UDP in Kiang with
immense joy. Hamat Bah has shown political maturity which few Gambians have
shown over the years. In my book, this man is a true patriot. He is also in
tuned with where The Gambia is as we speak. I have always had respect for
the man, but that respect has been increased by his performance in London on
February 28, 2001 and now his support for the Opposition candidate he thinks
can defeat the APRC. This is the spirit. Do we want candidates that have the
vision and the wherewithal to move the country forward or do we want drug
addicts that were deported from Germany to lead our country? This is a very
simple choice for decent Gambians that are not blinded by ego-mania or
corruption. Do we want an uncouth, uneducated, inexperienced High School
drop-out to lead our country or do we want a better person to lead us?

Most people in the Opposition can point to achievements they made before
entering public life. Some worked in the private sector and provided a
decent living for their families. Contrast that with the vermin that are now
leading our country. What has Yaya ever done? What did he have in 1994? The
vermin was living off of other people and the government. He could not even
have a wife. He was a failure by all measures and still is. A prostitute
following low-life. Without the barrel of the gun, he will still remain a
nobody. You can say the same thing for all the vermin following him around.
All a bunch of low-life losers. Compare these mental midgets with legal
luminaries like Ousainou Darboe. People like Darboe and Hamat Bah did not
need to steal power in order to live decently in The Gambia.

We should get rid of these nonentities and bring back dignity and sanity to
our country. I respectfully urge NRP and UDP to continue their alliance
leading to the October elections. We will eventually be victorious. It is up
to the vermin leading the country to decide which way they want to leave. Do
they want to be defeated at the polls in a free and fair elections, or do
they want the Gambian people to throw them out through other means? The
choice is theirs. In any case, Yaya should be gotten rid of before the end
of the year. Stripped of what they stole on July 22, 1994 (and
subsequently), the vermin are all nobodies. None of them can earn an honest
living anywhere in the world. They have to step on the Gambian people in
order to live what they regard as 'flamboyant' life-styles. When we catch up
with them, we will give them a dose of their own medicine. If they cannot
account for what they have from their lawful (lieutenant) salaries, the
properties will be seized. So, they are just wasting their time amassing all
that loot. As far as the massacre is concerned, anyone of them that is even
remotely connected with it, is going to the guillotine. For example, Baba
Jobe, by just being present at the scene of the massacre, is going to pay
for his crime of spurring the animals that massacred our children in broad
daylight.
