Thanks for the memories.
i last saw Mbowe in New York I believe, and Matarr Njie and I once caught the
Bus from NY to go visit with Batch Samba Njie at Wesleyan Univ, in
Connecticutt, and had a very nice weekend there. It was obvoius his
professors were mesmerized by his brilliance there in the chemistry
department.May they both rest in peace.
Yes, the student activism of the late 60's and early 70's was something else,
and like you, i will not trade those times for anything else.Even at our very
conservative college, we held our sit-ins.
The Joe who was at Cloumbia is not Goddard, and i still can't believe that i
forgot his last name.
