Comrades:

Within six hours after the tragic death of Mr. Kebba Janneh, Gambians in
Raleigh, NC raised more than $5,000 to send Kebba back to The Gambia.

My appreciation goes ouy to Mr Mambara Jobe, formally of Gunjur and Chairman
of The Gambia Welfare Association.  I was impressed by Jobe's relentless
effort in rallying Gambians.  This is the kind of community work we need every
where.

We have done it and we can do more to join together irrespective of our
differences.  I am proud to be a Gambian.

The Gambia Welfare Association in Raleigh encourages Gambians around the globe
to form sister organizations.  Our intent is to make sure that a Gambian who
dies within a 100 mile radius of Raleigh is sent home to be buried.  Death
comes !  God alone knows why?
