In Sura Al-Baqara, the second Sura of the Qur'an, Verse 245, Allah (SWT) says:
"Who is he that will lend to Allah a goodly loan so that He may multiply it to him many times?
And it is Allah that decreases or increases (your provisions) and unto Him you shall return."
In verse 262 Sura Al-Baqara Allah again says:
"Those who spend their wealth in the cause of Allah, and do not follow up their gifts with reminders of their generosity or with injury, their reward is with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve."
Allah indeed rewards those who are kind to their own family, parents, kinsfolk and strangers who beg and those who are in need but do not beg .
May Allah continue to bless us and our offspring with the spirit of generosity.

Subject: sacrificing for others
i pray that the almighty Allah bless the masses of Gambians both abroad and at
home who remembered to extend financial and other assistance to their relatives
and friends in this month of Ramadan.
i have a friend who is an agent transmitting money from u.k and u.s to the
Gambia and we speak approximately every two days but during the run up to
Ramadan he was so busy with Gambians helping out family and friends we lost
touch for a couple of days.
many of us could easily spend the money send to others ,but people sacrifice
and look out for others.i don't care what any one says ,Allah will reward you
for that sacrifice.in-fact i heard a hadith which states that even the food a
man/woman puts on the table for the family earn reward ,let alone that to
extended family.
i am proud to be a Gambian and i hope you out there are proud too.
we are born into a family and that tie we most uphold .may Allah accept every
single dollar.pound ,euro,dalasis given to others for the sake of Allah .may
Allah purify our hearts and minds and look after us in this world and the
hereafter. continue to maintain family relation ,it can be discouraging some
times ,taking into account some instances of ungratefulness but hey who is
perfect ?
peace for our country and the entire humanity .Oh Allah do not look at our
short comings ,accept our little efforts .Gambians ! onjaramah .
