The documentary about the preservation of African American community
celebrates the African Practices and Traditions that continue to
endure in present day Buffalo, New York. It is an inspirational love
story told by the voices ranging from 9 to 90- years old. A
discussion with the film's producer and director Dr. Joyce Hardiman
and Dr. Gilda Sheppard will follow the 30-minute film showing. Free
with Museum admission.
The film was featured at the 2001 Berlin International Black Cinema
Festival and the 2001 Silver Image Film Festival in Chicago.
