I am happy to announce that Gambians in Raleigh/
Durham have formed an association called The
Gambia Welfare Association.  Gambians within a
100 mile radius of Raleigh/Durahm area are
encouraged to join.

The main purpose of this association is in the
event of death of any Gambian, whether a member
or not, a visitor or parent of any Gambian
who dies within a 100-mile radius of Raleigh/
Durham area,the association will bear funeral and
shipping costs for the deceased to be flown to
The Gambia. We felt that we no longer have to
ask Gambians and friends of The Gambia to
contribute in helping a family send their
love ones back home to The Gambia.

Monthly contribution is $10.  Please
contact Mr. Kinteh Darboe at 919-865-7612, or
you can call me at 336-854-3019.  Our
organization is non tribal, non political and
yes non religious.  We believe that we are one
family, and as such must come together. Our next
meeting is scheduled for Sunday March 25 in
Raleigh.  Please call for directions.
