Aisha, you lost me on the last sentence. Anyway, don't you think that the
fact that we would be counting casualties by now has more to do with the
absence of democracy than anything else? Africans deserve more credit than
you are giving us. I find your comments about "illiterate" Africans rather
condescending. Inherent in that assumption is the notion that Africans lack
the intellect and the sophistication to understand democracy. I disagree
with that assumption. By the way the arguments on western imperialism are a
little bit tired.
